Roman Agora

The Roman Agora was the central market in ancient Athens in Roman times. It was built at a strategic point between the Acropolis, the most important religious and symbolic site of the city and the ancient market, the center of commercial and political life of the time. Commercial transactions and gatherings took place in this area.
